After Taking the MCAT

I will never hold the surgeon's knife,
Because I did not find the kidneys on the abdominal wall.
I will never prescribe drugs for anyone,
Because I did not hydrolyze amines to carboxylic acids.
I will never be a doctor.

  1. Hi, somehow, I chanced on your blog. I think more than anything, I was captured by your sub-header, as T.S. Eliot has in more than one way transformed the way I think about life; at some point in my life, I had most of Prufrock memorized. As a fellow aspiring physician scientist, I am struck by how genuine your personal statement was. It was at the very least inspirational to read, and I wish you the very best of luck.
Also, I am sure your MCATs went splendidly.

  2. Wow...a little down are we? haha...I can relate but cheer up! You won't get your scores for awhile so live in blissful ignorance!

  3. thanks for the supporting comments guys; I am just nervous but too late to worry now, so I'm playing the waiting game and enjoying my summer.
